Hostinger Horizons Review: The AI App Builder, Now Included

Any Hostinger Horizons review written before this summer is describing a product that no longer exists in that form. Horizons was sold as a standalone AI app builder with its own subscription. Hostinger has now folded it into the website builder: one product, two building modes, and Horizons is the agentic one. If you were weighing up whether to buy it separately, that decision has been made for you.

This is straightforwardly good news on value. It is also the point at which the credit allowance stops being a footnote and becomes the whole story, because app generation is the most credit-hungry thing the builder does.

What it builds

The stated output categories are worth quoting because they are wider than the category norm: portfolios, business sites, booking pages, online stores, CRMs, membership sites and SaaS tools. The last three are the interesting ones. A template library cannot produce a CRM. A generative builder can produce something CRM-shaped, and for a small operation that has been tracking clients in a spreadsheet, something CRM-shaped is a considerable upgrade.

Set expectations at the right altitude. This produces small, self-contained tools with the data and logic the prompt implied. It does not produce software with a considered permissions model, an audit trail, or integration into systems you already run. If the thing you need is a booking form that writes to a list and emails you, this is a real option. If it is anything a developer would call an application, it is not.

The credit arithmetic is the review

Premium includes five credits, Unlimited and Cloud Startup fifteen, and Cloud Startup adds twenty Hostinger Agent credits. One-time, not monthly. Hostinger's own guidance is five to ten credits for a simpler project and fifteen or more for a complex web app. Put those side by side: a complex app is estimated to cost the entire Unlimited grant, and three times the Premium one. The full credit arithmetic is worked through here, and it is the number that should drive your plan choice if app building is the point.

A simple project: 5–10
A complex web app: 15 or more

Brackets: Hostinger's own rule of thumb for what a project uses. Credits do not refill; more are bought as top-ups.

Compounding this: Hostinger states that topping up is quick and easy, but published no top-up price on any page checked on 20 September 2026. So a buyer whose main reason for choosing this product is the AI mode is committing to a term — potentially four years — without knowing the ongoing cost of the feature they are buying it for. That is not a dealbreaker. It is a reason to establish the top-up price inside the account before the refund window closes.

What the output is actually like

Structurally sound, verbally empty. The generator is good at deciding that a booking tool needs a service list, a calendar, a confirmation step and a contact capture, and at putting those in a sensible order with working navigation between them. That is the part that takes a human a day and it is genuinely handed to you.

The words inside that structure are placeholder text with better grammar. Your business will be described as dedicated to quality and focused on its customers, which is true of every business and therefore tells a reader nothing. Every generated paragraph needs replacing with something only you know: what you do, for whom, where, at what price, and what happens after someone clicks. Skipping that step leaves you with a site that reads like every other generated site, which is a poor position commercially and an increasingly poor one in search.

A source discrepancy worth knowing

Hostinger's own page assigns twenty agent credits to Cloud Startup and mentions none on Unlimited. An independent pricing table compiled in August 2026 lists fifty on Unlimited and one hundred on Cloud Startup. The figures here follow the vendor's, which are the lower ones, on the principle that under-promising is the safer error. If agent credits matter to you, read the plan comparison at the point of purchase and trust that over any published table.

How to get value out of it

Generate once, then refine by hand. Everything the agentic mode produces lands in the manual editor, and manual editing is unmetered. The expensive mistake is conversational iteration — asking the chat to move things, restyle things, rewrite things — when each of those requests is billed and each is trivial to do yourself. The two modes and when to switch between them is the companion piece to this one.

Write the brief before the first prompt, in full. What the tool does, who uses it, what data it holds, what happens on submission. One thorough instruction produces a better result than six corrective ones and costs a fraction as much. And use the free testing if it is offered when you look — five credits without a card is an entire Premium allowance, spent before you have committed to anything.

Does it change the buying decision?

It improves the package without changing its shape. Premium is still $2.99 a month introductory and $10.99 on renewal; Unlimited $3.99 and $16.99; Cloud Startup $7.99 and $25.99, all on the forty-eight-month term. You are getting a second capability for the same money, which is a genuine improvement in value. What you should not do is choose the product primarily for this mode, because fifteen credits is not an ongoing capability and the cost of more of them is undisclosed. Buy it for the builder, and treat Horizons as a well-made extra. Since Horizons now ships inside every builder plan, the only way to reach it is to start one. The overall scoring sits in the Hostinger Website Builder review.

Queries about Horizons

Is Hostinger Horizons still sold separately?
No. Hostinger states that Website Builder and Horizons are now one AI builder with two modes, so Horizons comes with every builder plan rather than requiring its own subscription. Reviews describing a standalone Horizons price predate the merge.
Can Horizons really build a web app?
It builds small self-contained tools — booking systems, simple CRMs, membership pages. Hostinger estimates fifteen or more credits for a complex web app, which is the entire grant on an Unlimited plan. Expect a working first version, not production software.
How many credits does Horizons use?
Credits are spent on every creation or edit made through the AI chat. Hostinger's guidance is roughly five to ten for a simpler project and fifteen or more for a complex app. Premium includes five credits in total and Unlimited fifteen, as one-time grants.
Is there a free way to try it?
Hostinger currently advertises that both building modes can be tested for free with five AI credits and no card required. Reviews published earlier in 2026 say there was no free trial, so this looks like a recent change — confirm it on the signup screen.
